You’ve probably seen it everywhere: “No bad debt.” Sounds great, right? But in the freight world, that phrase doesn’t always mean what agents think it means.

In many agent programs, “no bad debt” only applies to carrier pay. So if a customer goes bankrupt, you wouldn’t be responsible for covering the carrier invoice. That protection matters. But here’s the part that often gets overlooked: commission chargebacks can still happen.

One of the best parts of the Tallgrass family is the variety of backgrounds, perspectives and experiences our agents bring to the table every day. This lunch was a fun reminder that while we may be spread across the U.S., we’re united by strong relationships and collaboration.
