Help Wanted: Part-Time Tanker Trailer Washer
Company: Norfolk Diesel Repair
Location: Norfolk, Nebraska
Type: Part-Time (Flexible hours – early mornings or late nights)
Pay: Competitive hourly rate
Reports to: Operations Supervisor Norfolk Diesel Repair is looking for a reliable, safety-minded individual to join our team as a Part-Time Tanker Trailer Washer. This role is critical to keeping our fleet of tankers clean, compliant, and ready for the next load. Shifts may start early in the morning or run later at night depending on operational needs.Key Responsibilities:
• Safely move and spot semi-trailers (tankers) in the yard using a semi truck
• Operate the Clean-In-Place (CIP) system to thoroughly wash out tanker trailers
• Follow strict wash procedures and quality control checklists to ensure tanks are properly cleaned between loads
• Perform pre- and post-wash inspections of tankers
• Maintain cleanliness of the wash bay and surrounding work areas
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, lockout/tagout, and confined space procedures
• Document wash cycles, chemical usage, and any maintenance issues
• Assist with basic trailer maintenance or minor repairs as needed
• Work efficiently to meet daily production/turnaround targets
Requirements:
• Ability to safely move and spot semi-trailers
• Experience with tanker washing or CIP systems is a strong plus
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and during early morning or late night shifts
• Physically able to climb ladders, work at heights, and handle hoses/equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable attendance and ability to work flexible part-time hours (early mornings or late nights)
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus but not required)
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
