North Fork Area Transit will be closed July 4th. Reopen on the 5th. Great day to celebrate our freedoms!

North Fork Area Transit has been notified by the State of Nebraska Department of Transportation that funding for all transit agencies in the state has been reduced by 30%.
As a result of this funding decrease, beginning July 1st North Fork Area Transit will be implementing the following temporary changes:

🟡Services will be restricted to the city limits of the City of Norfolk, with exception of the Wayne route.
🟡Operating hours will be from 7:00am-5:00pm Monday-Saturday; 8:00am-2:00pm on Sunday.
🟡All rides will continue to be on a first come, first serve basis. If your rides were previously on a reoccurring schedule, you will need to schedule those daily. Call 402-379-4595 to reserve a ride or stop at the NFAT office located at 222 N. 4th St.

This reduction in hours and service area is necessary in order to continue to fulfil our mission to provide safe, efficient, affordable public transportation to the area residents and visitors in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines. Thank you.

Thank you ALLO Fiber Nebraska for choosing North Fork Area Transit as one of the recipients of free internet for 3 years!! We are so grateful for your generosity.

Tuesday evening was full of smiles and all the fiber warm and fuzzies. Nine nonprofits in Norfolk received free 1 GIG service for three years during our Community Connect Award ceremony.

Congrats again to The Salvation Army Norfolk NE ,The Zone Afterschool Program , CASA of Northeast Nebraska ,Oasis Counseling International , NorthStar Services , The Well , North Fork Area Transit, The Arc of Norfolk , and The Connection Project, Inc. .

We are so excited to see these gifts impact their work and the community. 💚

Wonderful service!... it has been a God send to me. After reconstructive surgery I could not drive for months. If it weren't for this service I probably would have lost my job and would not have been able to get to all my doctor appointments or physical therapy. The drivers were all very friendly. They were never late picking me up and I used their service daily (sometimes multiple times in a day). This is a great asset to our community and I just want to give a shout out to them for great service!!!"
