Well… y’all finally get the update. 😅
After all the guessing, the wife and I hit the road several states away to pick up what we hoped was going to be the next big addition to OmniPaulk Transport.
We’ve been focused on adding a rollback to the business so we can continue growing, expand the services we offer, and better serve our customers.
Like a lot of small businesses, we took a chance.
We bought the truck through an auction, sight unseen, trusting the listing details and praying everything was what it was supposed to be when we got there.
Unfortunately… it wasn’t.
The truck was advertised as having a CAT 3406 engine, which was a huge reason we pursued it in the first place. But after getting there and looking everything over, it turned out the truck actually had a different engine than what was listed in the auction.
After looking everything over, Paul made the difficult decision to walk away from the deal.
Now here’s the good part — the auction company stood behind it and refunded our money, which we absolutely respect and appreciate. That says a lot about their business.
So no… OmniPaulk didn’t come home with a new truck this trip. But we DID come home wiser, more motivated, and still determined to keep building this business the right way. 🇺🇸💪
That’s part of small business life nobody really talks about. Sometimes you take risks, sometimes things don’t work out, and sometimes you spend a whole lot of hours on the road just to turn around and come back home.
But we’re not giving up. Not even close.
The search continues… and when the RIGHT truck comes along, we’ll be ready. 👀🔥
We appreciate everybody who followed along, sent messages, called to check in, and cheered us on through the whole trip. Y’all have no idea how much the support means to us.
