Serving since 1967, SMART is Southeast Michigan’s only regional public transportation provider, offering convenient, reliable and safe transportation for Macomb, Oakland and Wayne Counties. SMART’s Fixed-Route and small bus services connect people to employment and educational institutions. SMART is supported by federal and state funding, local contributions through a transit property tax millage

from opt-in communities and bus fares. This is SMART’s corporate page. The intention and purpose of this page is to provide the public with service updates and SMART information. SMART has you covered with FREE shuttle service running between parking lots and the Nine Mile event area from 11:30am–11:00pm on Saturday, May 30.

Please note: Nine Mile between Livernois and Woodward will be closed all day and Route 710 will detour. Plan ahead and ride SMART.

This Memorial Day, SMART honors and remembers the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and commitment to protecting our freedoms will never be forgotten.

As we serve communities across Wayne, Macomb, and Oakland County every day, we are reminded that freedom of movement and opportunity are possible because of those who gave so much for our nation. Today, we pause to reflect, remember, and express our deepest gratitude to our fallen heroes and the military families who continue to carry their legacy forward.
