Darren Da Silva , Darren has been the General Manager of Strauss since 01 December 2011. He has over 19 years experience in the Motor and Transport Industry. Darren reports directly to the Board of Directors and has day-to-day responsibility for the running of the company. Darren has a “hands on” approach to management and is driven to delivering success through disciplined leadership and building an incredible team spirit. He and his team are wholly dedicated to delivering a World Class service to customers coupled with reporting solid results for the business. He has broad experience of the Industry and excels across all roles that include sales management, business operations, people management, strategic alliances and general management. Specialties:

Through his vision and leadership skills, Strauss has become the transporter of choice for all Majors in the Fuel industry and is now seen as a “benchmark” of excellence by our competitors. John McCree, Finance & Admin Manager: John has an extensive accounting background having trained with reputable various multinational companies and a large audit firm. John is in charge of all the financial and administrative operations of the company, facilitating the smooth operations behind the scenes. Brennah Ncube, Road Operations Manager: Brennah has a wealth of operational knowledge in fuel delivery. Brennah has got over 5 years experience in Road Transport and Logistics, and is the man who gets road deliveries, of all products, done by our fleet throughout the region. Calvin Chipunza, Rail Operations Manager: Calvin is our dedicated rail expert and is responsible for all railage both local and regional, coordinating movements primarily between Zimbabwe and Mozambique through National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ) and Portos e Caminhos de Ferro de Mocambique (CFM). Roszal Robinson, Service and Maintenance Manager: Roszal has extensive mechanical and engineering experience having worked in North Africa and locally for several years, he keeps our wheels turning. George Matongo, Standards and Driver Officer: George is our Training Guru teaching us all on safety and training our drivers in several areas including good driving technique, Hazchem and delivery of different products like JET A1, Avgas and LPG to name a few. He has trained in Europe with a major oil company and has been in the industry for some time. Tavonga Machigere, Human Resources Manager: An accomplished Human Resource Professional with over 5 years of comprehensive experience in Policy & Process creation and deployment, Retention mechanisms, Managerial support, Competency development and deployment, Performance management system, Employee Engagement, Training & development, Internal Communication & Industrial Relations. Through our "Public Private Partnership" with National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ) and Portos e Caminhos de Ferro de Moçambique (CFM) , we offer our customers access to ninety eight dedicated fuel rail wagons both cross border & national deliveries. We also offer mining & general cargo rail services for imports, exports & national deliveries throughout the Southern African Region. Road
We operate a fleet of 54 road tankers for the movement of diesel & petrol products, which are licensed to operate throughout the region, and all equipped with long range tanks to offer city, country & regional delivery solutions. Our Specialities fleet can deliver specialised products such as Jet A1, Avgas, LPG and Ethanol Products. All our trucks are equipped with a state of the art web based satellite tracking system that gives customers real time updates on where their product is. Our workshops offer a 24 hour support response team, who are mobilised to attend to any breakdowns across our network. Here are some of our road services :

Darren Da Silva , our General Manager, has inspected several tanker manufacturing companies across China and he chose to partner with Hongtai Special Truck Company in Hebei province. Together, with the help of a renowned engineers based in South Africa, we have built both Fuel and LPG tankers to suit our requirements. We are currently running over 20 of these fuel tankers in the southern African region and can report they are a total success. Satellite Tracking: -
The Satellite tracking enables management to monitor the vehicle position “live” anywhere within Southern Africa. The tailored tracking products and solutions utilise some of the most advanced technology in the world. With multiple vehicle tracking options, you can: -
• Pinpoint the exact, current location of your vehicles, cargo and staff
• Historical route replays to review journeys already undertaken
• Find closest vehicle feature allows you to find the nearest vehicle to a customer
• Real-time notification of entry into no-go zones and other user-defined Geofences via e-mail or as a text message to either or both your computer or mobile phone
• Movement reports that show you the locations from where your vehicles departed, where they arrived at and how many visits were made
• Tabular, dynamic status reports showing current vehicle activity

On Board Computer: -
Our On Board Computer monitors both vehicle and driver second by second, providing numerous reports and graphs which help analyse driver behaviour, vehicle statistics, customer information, running costs etc. Serious events and violations are reported live ensuring constant management and control. The on board interactive driver warning through audible and or visual aids ensure driver safety and compliance. Through both the Satellite tracking and OBC systems the vehicles and drivers are monitored 24/7 to improve customers service, efficiencies and safety. Full Workshop Backup
Our fleet is fully serviced by a highly efficient team of mechanics and auxiliary servicemen who make sure that every vehicle is routinely checked and repaired on time to keep the fleet and business running.
