ZK Transport Update
We are pleased to confirm that ZK Transport will operate as normal from tomorrow, Wednesday, 13 May 2026. This follows two days of disruptive stormy weather across the Western Cape. Schools are set to reopen tomorrow, and our services will run according to the usual schedule.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this period. Please ensure all learners are ready at their regular pickup points.

We are not operating tomorrow. The Western Cape Provincial Government has announced that all schools in the province will be closed on Tuesday, 12 May, due to severe weather. Be safe and stay warm.

📣 SPECIAL SCHOOL HOLIDAYS_28 APRIL - 2 MAY 2025

ℹ️ South African schools will have an unexpected break in April 2025! Due to multiple public holidays falling within the same week, the national Department of Basic Education (DBE) has officially declared three special school holidays.

🤔 Why the extra Holidays?
April already has several national holidays, but 2025 is unique because of how they are spaced. It was decided that keeping schools open for just a few scattered days that week would be impractical.

Special School Holidays for 2025:
📌 Monday, 28 April – Public Holiday (Freedom Day observed)
📌 Tuesday, 29 April – Special School Holiday
📌 Wednesday, 30 April – Special School Holiday
📌 Thursday, 1 May – Public Holiday (Workers’ Day)
📌 Friday, 2 May – Special School Holiday

These special holidays will not affect the required 200 school days for the year.
