Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for the groundbreaking of WRTA’s new Annex Building Project!

We are grateful to our elected officials, community partners, employees, and supporters who helped us celebrate this exciting milestone. This project is an investment in the future of public transportation and the communities we serve.

This morning we broke ground on a transformational project that will help shape the future of public transportation in the Mahoning Valley.

Thanks to careful planning, strong fiscal stewardship, and successful grant funding efforts, WRTA is moving forward with the replacement of our nearly 100-year-old annex building with a new state-of-the-art bus facility. The new facility will be more than double the size of the current building and will be designed to support the next generation of transit vehicles, including future zero-emission buses and the advanced technology needed to keep our fleet moving safely and efficiently.

This investment represents our commitment to providing reliable, innovative, and sustainable transportation for years to come.
