Trucks are the reason your favorite restaurant has its meat, the reason your gas stations have gas, the reason your construction projects have lumber, and the reason your local hospitals have enough supplies. Most people do not know the truth about trucking. They do not know about the blood, sweat, and tears that truckers put in to do their job and try to live a normal life. The journey can be lonely for most.

So before you cut that trucker off, get frustrated they are driving to slow, or judge them for eating fried food at the gas station, remember that most work 60+ hours a week and you wouldn’t have ANY of the things you purchase without them!

Thank a trucker this holiday season.

The heavier the vehicle is and the faster it is moving, the longer it will take for it to safely stop. Studies show that at 60 MPH, a fully loaded tractor-trailer will need about 370 feet to stop, which is more than a football field.
