On 9/20/24 my friend and I were heading to Dobson, from Baptist hospital. Right around exit 134 by pilot mountain, a vehicle rear ended us out of nowhere. I could see him coming at us; he was looking down , probably his phone .
The driver is this guy with the red shirt . He called his wife who frantically tried to find an excuse on why he was on the road .
When the state trooper Linares showed up , we found out the dude didn’t have no drivers license , the vehicle wasn’t registered and didn’t have any type of insurance . Trooper Linares was more friendly to the guy ( he spent quite a lot of time speaking to him in Spanish , and his wife ) while we were sitting in our vehicle waiting for new developments. When my friend asked him why the driver wasn’t in handcuffs, he replied that this wasn’t an arrestable offense ! WOW! I went back to him and ask him what I’m supposed to do . He replied “ oh well file with your insurance , that’s why you pay insurance !” Really ? This guy could have killed me and my friend and that’s the response I got from the law enforcement officer ?
Moreover , the trooper was rushing to get us out there .
In my option , the driver should have been in handcuffs and the vehicle impounded! None of that happened. We drove to the next exit and waited . Guess who came by and exited the ramp ? The same driver . Back in his car with total impunity. And I bet he’s still driving the same vehicle , until tragedy strikes, then evenly will be up and arms complaining. Something needs to be done .

The ideal candidate (for the Dispatcher/ Phone Operator position) must have great communication skills, patience and be able to multi-task. Sometimes Phone operator will be called to do dispatch duties as well. Knowledge of the city of Winston-Salem is a must or at least know how to use a GPS.
Must have reliable transportation to/from work.
For the driver positions, we are looking for dependable. we have 3 third shift and 1 first shift starting at 5am available.
