These zones are areas around the bus where it’s difficult for the driver to see, making it important for everyone to stay outside of them, except when boarding or exiting. 📣Here's your about school buses!

In 1957, a revolutionary advancement was made in school bus design to better serve special-needs students. This innovation not only provided accessibility but also set a new standard for safety and inclusivity in student transportation.

"A school bus with a built-in elevator, believed to be the first of its kind, begins transporting special-needs students to and from school in San Lorenzo, Calif. The bus, which was designed and built by Gillig Brothers, is also fitted with floor attachments where wheelchairs can be anchored and individual seat belts for each child."
