Attention team ropers wanting to go to Las Vegas in December for the World Series Finale! I am a team roper as well and also operate a commercial horse shipping business. I've had a few requests to try and put a load together to ship horses out there from ropers in or around the Ocala area. I am trying to book a few more horses in order to meet my minimums and make this work. This works really well for those who prefer, or need to fly in due to time constraints. Driving in a pickup 36 hours each way and spending over $4/gal for fuel doesn't sound like a good time either.
What I am offering is shipping for your horse round trip as well as full care while at the event on the days you can't be present. Your horses will be traveling in an air ride van in either a standing stall, or box stall if you prefer first class over coach. Hay and water will be there for them during the duration of their ride (you supply your own hay) to keep their bellies full and gut healthy. There is room for all of your tack, supplies, feed etc. as well. There will be two drivers, one being myself, on both legs of the trip with a one night layover approximately somewhere half way.
Going all the way there is a huge investment for you between fees, accommodations and everything else you've put in all year to get there. Make sure you invest in your horse to get them there as safe and healthy as possible. All of my partitions go to the floor so no horses will show up with a stepped on foot, swollen fetlock, or a kick mark on their leg. Nothing would be worse than having a lame horse when you finally arrive to what you've been dreaming about all year. As mentioned previously the trailer is air ride and offers a much more comfortable ride especially over such a long distance. Everyone in my crew who will be there is experienced in basic first aid, bandaging, giving shots, meds etc. So, rest assured your horses will be in good hands for the whole trip.
We'll also offer additional services while we're there such as exercising your horses so they aren't cooped up for too long if you are not there to ride them. Additionally we'll have our Bemer blanket and leg cuffs on hand to help your horse feel better after a long day and keep them at their peak while they're competing.
The plan is for the trip to start near Ocala. Arrangements can be made to bring horses the day prior for your horses to overnight in the area if you can't bring them the morning of departure. Also, there is a possibility of adding one additional stop along the way in the western part of the Florida panhandle close to I10. Please contact me via my messenger, either personal or my business page, for info or to book your spot. You can call my number listed as well. 352-363-7699
