It’s really disheartening to see so many negative comments about a company that does so much for its drivers and most importantly our customers.
First off, not every job is about getting rich quickly, and the truth is, any kind of work—whether it's driving a cab, working in a restaurant, or running your own business—requires effort, dedication, and time. It’s frustrating when people think the company itself is at fault for individual outcomes. If you put in the hours and hustle, there's potential to do well. Some people may not be happy with the results because they expect instant success, but that's not how any career works.
The comment about "fake marketing" and "photoshopped images" is unfair. The team is made up of real people working hard to support the community. In fact, I know some personally have shared stories of the positive connections they've made and the satisfaction they get from the job. Yes, it's not a get-rich-quick situation, but it provides a living for those who are willing to put in the time and effort.
As the manager, one of most admirable things about this company is that we offer jobs to people whom other places might not take a chance on. Whether it's someone who's been overlooked due to a past mistake or someone facing other challenges, this company provides an opportunity for individuals who are willing to work hard and prove themselves. That’s something a lot of companies don’t do, and it speaks volumes about the company’s commitment to giving people a second chance.
The other thing is, this company is doing a crucial job in maintaining a taxi service in Watertown. Without Yellow cab many would be left without reliable transportation options. The work we do is invaluable to the community. We can't expect everything to be perfect, but the company and it's employees truly care about their jobs and the people they serve.
Let’s be real: the negative comments are often a result of personal frustrations and how people behave on a daily basis. If you don’t like the company, its services, or don’t want to work there, then that’s your choice—but there’s no need to trash talk or spread bitterness. You’re only revealing more about your own attitude. And frankly, I’m assuming your mother didn't teach you that if you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all.
So, before jumping to conclusions or criticizing, it’s worth considering how much harder the staff is working to make sure this service stays available. If it were easy or just about getting rich, everyone would be doing it. But it takes true dedication, and these individuals show up every day, no matter the weather, to make a difference in their community. Whether it's rain or eight feet of snow! Let's give them the credit they deserve and the recognition they have earned.
