Bay Transit is a nonprofit community transit service serving the Virginia counties of Charles City, Essex, Gloucester, King and Queen, King William, Lancaster, Mathews, Middlesex, New Kent, Northumberland, Richmond, and Westmoreland. $16.25/hour | Part-Time
Based in New Kent, VA

Bay Transit seeks part-time drivers with excellent driving records and customer service skills for our New Kent Microtransit service. You must have a valid Virginia driver’s license for at least one year; a high school diploma or GED required; be at least twenty-one years of age and three years’ driving experience is preferred. Driving positions may require some evening and weekend work for special transportation requests.

Today, we honor and remember the heroes who gave their lives in service to our nation. On this Memorial Day, Bay Aging joins our community in reflecting with gratitude on the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Bay Aging Administrative Offices, Active Lifestyle Centers, and Gloucester Adult Day Center are closed in observance of Memorial Day.

Bay Aging Home Care aides are on duty and visiting clients as scheduled.

Bay Transit is closed, except for the seasonal trolleys:
o Colonial Beach Trolley: 11 AM–7 PM
o Urbanna Trolley: 10 AM–3 PM

Whether you're visiting for the day or enjoying the holiday weekend, the trolley is a breezy, convenient way to explore town.

As we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country, we reflect with gratitude on their sacrifice and courage.

In observance of Memorial Day, Bay Aging’s Administrative Offices, Active Lifestyle Centers, Gloucester Adult Day Center, and Bay Transit* will be closed Monday, May 25.

Bay Transit’s summer trolley service in Urbanna and Colonial Beach begins Memorial Day Weekend. Whether you’re headed to the waterfront, shopping local, meeting friends for lunch, or just enjoying a sunny day out, we’re excited to help you ride in comfort all season long.

Pay Rate:
• CNA - $19 / hr
• Nursing Assistant - $18.50 / hr
• PCA - $17.40 / hr

Eligible for Sign On Bonus of $500 after 200 hours completed.
Employee Referral Bonus $250*
