Big changes are coming to trucking, and we want to ensure your fleet is ready. π
Beginning in 2027, the EPA will roll out significant updates to heavy-duty truck emissions standards. These new rules require engines to cut nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions by more than 80% β meaning real changes to how trucks are built, priced, and serviced.
For fleets and owner-operators driving Freightliner and Western Star units, these regulations will introduce next-generation engine technology, updated emissions systems, and new electrical architecture that touches everything from spec'ing decisions today to maintenance planning tomorrow.
Keeping our customers ahead of the curve isn't just something we do, it's who we are at Lonestar Truck Group and TAG Truck Center. Our teams are actively tracking these changes so you don't have to navigate them alone.
If you have questions about upcoming engine platforms or what the 2027 standards mean for your equipment plans, please reach out to your local Lonestar Truck Group or TAG Truck Center dealership. Our sales teams are here and ready to help you plan with confidence.
