I want to take a moment to share about a driver we work closely with, Lyman Bernard. Unfortunately, Lyman is now facing serious medical challenges that are forcing him into early retirement. With a wife and child still depending on him, this has placed a heavy burden on his family.

FIRST UP ON OUR CGI DRIVER SPOTLIGHT ARE TEAM MIKE AND BLAKE!!!!!!!

Driver Spotlight: Mike & Blake
Team Drivers | Landstar BCOs | CGI Partners Since 2023 | Driven by Freedom & Adventure

For team drivers Mike and Blake, trucking is more than a career, it’s a shared adventure. Since earning their CDLs through CRST’s program in 2021, they’ve built a strong partnership rooted in trust, hard work, and a love for the open road.

Blake’s interest in trucking sparked their journey, and after 25 years in restaurant management, Mike was ready for a new challenge. Together, they’ve embraced life on the road—running coast to coast, taking in the sights, and making memories along the way.
“We love to stop and explore whenever we can. It's not just about the miles—it’s about the moments,” Mike shares.

After joining Landstar, it didn’t take long before they were referred to CGI—and they’ve been part of the family ever since.
From the start, they felt the difference.

“With CGI, we’re not just a truck number—we’re treated like family,” Blake says. “They’re amazing to work with and make the job feel personal.”

“CGI was recommended as a great fit for teams, and it’s been true from the start,” says Mike. “They treat us with respect, not just as another truck. It’s a personal connection that really matters.”
Their safety philosophy is simple but strong:
With a strong commitment to safety, Mike and Blake stick to their mantra: “If it’s broken, fix it. Pre-trip every stop. And if something doesn’t feel safe—it’s not worth the risk.”

When they're not on the road, they enjoy life to the fullest at home with their pack of six dogs, three cats, and more than twenty chickens. Blake, a naturally skilled mechanic, is always tinkering, while Mike, a talented singer since childhood, loves to unwind with music and video games.

Their advice for new drivers:
“Know that this life takes work. The road isn’t always easy, but it offers freedom like nothing else. Take care of your truck, your business, and yourself—and let safety guide every mile.”

Mike and Blake are a testament to what teamwork and determination can accomplish. We’re proud to have them as part of the CGI family and look forward to many more miles ahead.

Here at CGI Agency, we care deeply about our BCOs and their health. Whether you’re hauling freight across the country or managing it behind the scenes, your well-being is always a top priority.

To our amazing drivers: Staying healthy on the road isn’t always easy, but a few small habits can make a big difference. Here are some quick tips to help you feel your best:

✅ Stay hydrated – Keep a water bottle handy and drink throughout the day.
🍎 Snack smart – Reach for fruits, nuts, or protein bars over chips and candy.
🧘 Stretch it out – Even 5-10 minutes of stretching at rest stops can help reduce tension and fatigue.
😴 Prioritize sleep – A well-rested driver is a safer, healthier driver.
🧠 Take mental breaks – Call a friend, listen to music, or enjoy a podcast to stay mentally sharp.

Kevin, Alex,Joe,Michael and myself (Amanda) are so excited about meeting anyone who can attend.

We will have Raffles, Giveaways, and great discussions with Great people. We are striving to have 20-25 BCO's in attendance so that we can have a special give away for a set of Steer Tires. (Think about your chances if there is only 20-25 people entered 😁)
