⛈ STORMS POSSIBLE SUNDAY: We’re watching Sunday into Sunday night for a round of thunderstorms ahead of a strong cold front moving across the eastern Gulf Coast.
A narrow window of warmer, more humid air may develop across southeast Alabama and the western Florida Panhandle, allowing storms to organize as they move through. Strong winds higher in the atmosphere will be in place, which can help storms strengthen, even though overall instability remains limited.
- Main concern: Gusty to potentially damaging wind gusts
- Timing: Sunday afternoon into Sunday evening
- Coverage: Not everyone will see a big thunderstorm
🌪️ The tornado risk appears limited at this time, but cannot be completely ruled out, especially near the coast.
📍 This remains a low-end, conditional severe weather setup, meaning impacts will likely be localized rather than widespread.
We’ll continue to refine the details as we get closer. Stay weather-aware and check back for updates as the forecast evolves.
