Quality Distribution is looking for an experienced Mechanic for our Tanker Fleet and Class 8 heavy-duty trucks and trailers located at our La Porte,TX shop. The Driver Talent Sourcer will be responsible for driving recruiting efforts through accepting and initiating contact with a wide variety of sourced leads. The Lead Generation Coordinator will identify, qualify and develop quality driver applications for the Recruiting team.



Essential Job Functions:

High volume inbound and outbound conversation with Drivers from a variety of sources
Follow up on leads generated through various recruiting activity
Develop prospects into Driver candidates by effectively communication to the driver terminal needs
Identify quality drivers and transition qualified leads to Driver Recruiters for further follow up
Utilize Tenstreet recruiting software tools provided to source, qualify communicate report and document Driver information
Maintain weekly reports for management on lead generation sources and hires
Ability to multi-task while providing accurate information
Think creatively outside the box on new lead generation sources
Work under general supervision, but a high degree of initiative and creativity are encouraged


Experience:

Proven success in a telephone prospecting, customer service or inside sales role a plus
Familiar with recruiting practices
Tenstreet software knowledge is a plus


Education:

High School Diploma or GED required



Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities (Competencies)

Strong qualifying, prospecting and marketing skills; ability to reach prospects creatively, position products, and handle objections positively and professionally
Proficient in all MS Office applications
Experienced in use of recruiting software/systems strongly preferred
Familiarity and/or experience with job boards and career platforms
Excellent phone presence and interpersonal skills
Strong written communication skills
Above average degrees of independence, initiative, personal accountability and self-motivation are critical
Articulate and professional, enthusiastic attitude and a focus on results are required
Results oriented: capable of bringing prospects to the next step in the process
Excellent time management skills and good business acumen

Qualified candidates must be energetic, professional, and safety minded at all times. Also, be able to work independently and have knowledge and experience with hydraulic and air brakes, air conditioning, gas, and diesel engines, drive trains and electrical systems.

Job Duties:

Conducting Federal FHWA Preventive maintenance inspections of trailer units, extensive repairs in all phases of trailer maintenance including body, frame, suspension, electrical, valve and air systems.
Perform HazMat Inspections on tank trailers.
Conduct preventive maintenance service and general vehicle repairs.
Repairs may include welding.
Operate a yard hostler truck to move trailers within the facility yard and the shop as needed.
Requirements:

High School diploma required
Hazmat Certification required
ASE certification not required but recommended Computer experience a plus
Employee is required to provide their own hand tools
