We’re excited to recognize Critical Care Paramedic and co-owner John Krause (right side of the picture) for successfully completing the first year of the Medical Transport Leadership Institute (MTLI)!

In keeping with Badgerland EMS’s commitment to excellence, this program gave John the opportunity to learn from respected industry leaders on topics including leadership, professionalism, and key elements of the pre-hospital care system. He also had the valuable chance to network with local EMS providers, which helps strengthen collaboration across services in western Wisconsin.

Devante has been located.

Law Enforcement need the public’s help locating a missing 17 year old boy.

Devante Jones was last seen at his residence in on George Street in Kendall WI around 4:30 PM. He is described as 6’5, 120 lbs, and was seen carrying a back pack. Devante may be on foot in the area or may have been picked up by another person.

If anyone see’s Devante, please call the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office at 608-269-2117.

Bottom line: blizzard conditions will develop across much of the area tonight with increasing winds and a second round of much more blowable snow. TRAVEL IS STRONGLY DISCOURAGED through Monday morning! ⚠️❄️

Looks like a great day to stay in and complete tasks that you’ve been putting off, like cleaning that closet, finally starting that book, or binge watching that new series on tv. Please, be safe today!

WINTER STORM UPDATE: 511wi.gov shows deteriorating road conditions as a major winter storm moves through Wisconsin. Many roads are snow-covered and slippery, with different conditions depending on your location. Widespread heavy snow, sleet, freezing rain, and poor visibility are expected to be an issue throughout the day. We urge you to avoid travel today if possible.

If you must travel, use extreme caution to keep yourself and others safe:

➡Have an emergency kit in your vehicle with blankets, hat, gloves, food, water, flashlight, first aid kit and more.
➡Alert others about your route and expected travel time.
➡Drive appropriately for weather conditions, go slow in ice and snow, don’t take unnecessary risks, don’t follow other vehicles closely.
➡In case of a crash or slide off, stay in the vehicle, turn on the hazards, call 911 and move vehicles out of traffic if possible.

511wi.gov and the 511WI mobile app are great resources to know current road conditions, road closures, traffic incidents and traffic camera views. Stay safe today, Wisconsin.

Please join us in congratulating six of our newest Critical Care Paramedics! These Badgerland EMS team members dedicated the past two months to completing the Critical Care Paramedic course at Western Technical College . Throughout the program, they developed advanced skills in managing complex patients and utilizing a wide range of treatment modalities, preparing them to deliver the highest level of care in the pre-hospital setting.

Successfully completing this program is a true testament to their dedication to the profession and to the patients entrusted to their care. Outstanding work, team!
