Wow, it’s been a week.
First and foremost, I want to apologize for everything you all had to read. Secondly, my husband and I want to thank each and every one of you for the kind words and the incredible support we have received from this community. It truly means a lot.
With everything that has happened, Rigs for Rides will be making a few policy changes.
Starting Monday, we will be closed for two days, except for our scheduled early morning and late night work runs. During this time, all Rigs vehicles will be going in to have top-of-the-line security systems installed.
Going forward:
• All rides will be monitored in-house
• Every ride will be time-stamped with the passenger’s name, pickup location, and drop-off location
• All ride information will be stored in our system for up to 5 years
• Passengers will no longer sit in the front seat
• All rides must go through our system, whether you call in or book through the TaxiBooker app
To make booking faster and easier, I encourage everyone to download TaxiBooker from the App Store or Google Play. When it asks for the company name, type in Rigs for Rides, create your account once, and you will be able to book rides anytime.
At this time there is no in-app payment, so please do not enter your credit card information. That option will be added later as the system continues to improve.
Lastly, for those who may not know me well — I am not a quitter. The more people try to bring me down, the stronger I become. I built this company to provide safe rides. I’ve lost good friends to drunk driving, and I want women and everyone in our community to feel safe when they ride with us.
With that being said, Rigs for Rides will rise above this and continue forward, making the changes needed to keep our riders safe.
Thank you all again for your support. I hope everyone has a beautiful day and a fun-filled weekend.
Love always,
Ms. Rigs
