Beginning September 6th, 2021 our LAST BOAT from Shelter Island will be at MIDNIGHT, seven days a week.

LAST BOAT from North Haven will be 12:15 am, seven days a week.

UPDATE REGARDING OFFICE HOURS:

"The South Ferry Office will remain closed to walk-in traffic through August 31st.

Resident Tickets may be purchased via curbside service between 9:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. Monday through Saturday.

Sales will be cash or check only—no credit cards at this time.

To make a curbside purchase call (631) 749-1200. Our representative will confirm your eligibility and meet you outside office entrance to receive payment and issue the ticket.

If you cannot come to the office during those hours, your other two options are:

1. Mail a $65 check with a self-addressed stamped envelope to P.O. Box 2024, SI 11964. Your ticket will be mailed to you.

2. Give an envelope with your check and self-addressed, stamped envelope inside marked “South Ferry Office” to a South Ferry crew member on duty. Your ticket will be mailed back to you.

Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated. We anticipate opening the office to walk-in traffic on September 1st.

“Due to multiple staffing challenges, South Ferry will have difficulty staffing our full fleet at times. Between now and Labor Day, travelers should anticipate 20 - 30:00 delays during morning and evening rush hours and perhaps at other times during the day. We will do the very best we can to provide good service. My apologies in advance for any inconvenience”.

South Ferry will be operating the extended hours schedule Sunday, July 4th.

LAST BOAT leaving Shelter Island 1:45 AM

LAST BOAT leaving North Haven 1:50 AM

We will return to our normal operating schedule Monday, July 5th.

THE FERRY SCHEDULE RECENTLY PUBLISHED IN THE REPORTER IS INCORRECT!!

South Ferry will be offering late service ONLY ON FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS.
Last boat OFF Shelter Island 1:45 a.m.
Last boat RETURNING to Shelter Island, 1:50 a.m.

This service will run Fridays and Saturdays through Labor Day weekend.
There will be one exception: Late service will also be offered Sunday September 5th.
Monday, September 6th, we will resume regular service.
Until then, regular hours are in place
