Today, we remember those who served, sacrificed, and never made it home. This Memorial Day, we honor their courage, their service, and the lasting impact they left behind.

Spotted: A lone Downtown-Waterfront Shuttle sitting perfectly still, attempting to blend into its surroundings, as it waits for a herd of bikes to amble past, before continuing its daily migration along Santa Barbara's Waterfront.

Experts believe the Shuttle survives primarily on sunshine, beach energy, and the faint sound of someone saying, “Wait…we could’ve parked where?”

Each Summer, these majestic creatures travel in predictable patterns between downtown and the waterfront, carrying tourists, locals, beach chairs, sandy flip flops, and at least one person aggressively melting an ice cream cone.

The Downtown-Waterfront Shuttle returns May 29 for another season of coastal migration, people moving, and parallel parking avoidance.

Nature is healing. is back. 🚌🌴☀️

Happy Mother’s Day 💙

Today, we honor all forms of motherhood—the joy, the love, and the quiet strength that carries through every season.

A Heartbeat in All Things
Author Unknown

For the hands that held us, firm and steady,
And those whose love is gone, but ready
To fill the quiet, in memory’s embrace,
Holding tightly to a cherished face.

To the moms with empty arms, yet loving heart,
Whose love and pain are rarely far apart,
Your strength is vast, a light that shines so deep,
A precious bond that death cannot keep.

To those who mother from a distant place,
Or see her smile in their own child’s face,
To the ones who nurture with gentle care—
Including those with paws, fur, or feathers to spare,
Every mother, present or in dream,
Is woven into this life’s great stream.

Today we hold space, for joy and for tear,
Honoring the love, and holding it near.
For mothers are infinite, always and true,
Sending love to all, and to all of you.

Wishing a day of love, reflection, and appreciation to all 💙🐾
