The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) provides bus, light rail, and paratransit services. The agency also participates as a funding partner in regional rail service including Caltrain, Capital Corridor, and the Altamont Corridor Express. As the county’s congestion management agency, VTA is responsible for countywide transportation planning, including congestion management, design a

nd construction of specific highway, pedestrian, and bicycle improvement projects, as well as promotion of transit-oriented development. VTA provides these services throughout the county, including the municipalities of Campbell, Cupertino, Gilroy, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Los Gatos, Milpitas, Monte Sereno, Morgan Hill, Mountain View, Palo Alto, San Jose, Santa Clara, Saratoga and Sunnyvale. VTA continually builds partnerships to deliver transportation solutions that meet the evolving mobility needs of Santa Clara County.

Back in 2016, Santa Clara County voters approved Measure B. Currently, VTA continues to deliver the projects for many local improvements contained in the 2016 Measure B Program.

Each year, the Measure B Citizens’ Oversight Committee ensures that funds are spent consistently, and voters are informed on the said delivery of projects. With the Fiscal Year 2025 Performance Audit completed, you are invited to join the upcoming conversation on 2016 Measure B.
