It’s Tommy: Rest In Peace Ivana Trump! So, it was 2/13/90 and I’m in a meeting with Jeff and Jer, Pam Cesak, and Carolyn Howe. We’re at Y95 at the time. We’re talking about things going on in the news. On that day, breaking news was happening that Donald Trump had a new love named Marla Maples. Ivana Trump was going to be without a Valentine on February 14th. They all said let’s send Tommy to New York tonight to deliver a dozen roses to Ivana Trump on Valentine’s Day. Back then, you could just do that. I get an airline ticket and my boss made me a reservation at the Plaza Hotel. I’ve never been to New York. I arrive late at night on February 13th. I wake up and I start my search for Ivana. I’m 3 hours ahead of San Diego so I had time to figure things out. I’m barely 25 but I knew what to do. I go on the radio from my cell phone with Jeff and Jer. I’m live from New York. At noon New York time, which was 9am San Diego I buy a dozen roses from the Plaza Hotel and I get in a cab to the Four Seasons where Ivana was sitting with a few people. I walk over to her and say Happy Valentine’s Day Ivana and she stands and hugs me and says thank you. I get back in the cab and fly back home. I delivered a dozen roses to Ivana Trump on Valentine’s Day 1990! Rest In Peace!
