A Message to the Freight Industry
As the owner of a trucking company with over two decades of hands-on experience in the U.S. and Canadian markets, I’ve seen the transportation industry change dramatically. One of the most troubling shifts is the move away from relationship-driven partnerships toward a purely transactional model — especially from many brokers.
This "lowest-bidder-wins" mentality is hurting everyone involved. Too often, quality carriers with strong safety records, on-time performance, and insurance compliance are overlooked in favor of the cheapest option — sometimes carriers who are underinsured or staffed with unqualified drivers.
We’ve always believed in earning trust, building long-term relationships, and doing the job right. I urge shippers and brokers alike to remember the carriers who came through for you when it mattered — the ones who made your day easier, not harder.
To those who still value loyalty, reliability, and safety over price, I salute you.
Let’s work together for a better, more united industry. One that respects the past, values professionalism, and avoids fueling conflict — in business or beyond. Today, let’s also pause to remember: 80 years ago, N**i tyranny was defeated. May we never forget the cost of war, and may we always strive for peace.
