Off the road and on the water last weekend.

Our team fished the 7th Annual Fins for Fons Charity Fishing Tournament in Cape Coral on Saturday, as one of this year's Elite Sponsors.

The Dave Fons Memorial Fund for the Advocacy of Truck Safety puts what it raises into truck safety advocacy, scholarships and support for families. For anyone who works in this industry, that is not an abstract cause , which is why this is the one we keep coming back to.

Snook, redfish and trout all came over the rail. Good day on the water, better reason to be there.

Thank you to everyone who organized it.

September 11, 2001. Twenty-five years today.

We remember the 2,977 who did not come home, and the first responders who went up the stairs while everyone else was coming down.

Our team climbs with the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in their memory.

Never forget.

Happy Labor Day from all of us at T. Disney Trucking.

This one hits close to home. The material for every road, pad and foundation in Florida arrives on the back of a truck, and the people driving those trucks are independent owner-operators running their own small businesses. Plenty of them will be working this weekend.

We have been family-owned since 1980, and none of those forty-six years happened without them or without the office and dispatch crew who spend their days absorbing everybody else's emergencies.

If you're firing up the grill today, enjoy it. If you're behind the wheel, get home safe.
