CAMT started as “Cassovia Ambulance” at a home office in Clifton, NJ. Founded by Andrew Forgács, the company was created with a goal in mind: provide safe, caring transport to northern NJ residents.
From its humble beginnings, CAMT started with one ambulance and two employees. The fleet has now grown to many more vehicles, including wheelchair vans and brand new Ford ambulances. As for the team, it has grown not only in size but also in caliber.
Since the beginning our purpose has been to provide quality care. We show this through our distinguished team of EMTs, regular updates to company policy, and pledge to using the most modern and safe transport technologies.
Setting a new trend in EMS job culture, our team will listen and understand when there is a situation at hand. We work around the clock to make sure you get what you come for and receive no less.
How we hire & what we do
At CAMT, one of our priorities is hiring not only well-qualified EMTs, but also those who are courteous, responsible, and patient. Throughout our years of operation, there have been many changes to our team’s roster as a result of our promise to excellence.
The hiring process includes a selection, an interview, and a strict training procedure to ensure our EMTs can handle anything that comes their way.
Our services include (at the moment) non-emergency basic life support, including transportation for qualified patients like those with ESRD (End-Stage Renal Disease), and to places like nursing homes, medical office visits, radiation treatment centers, dialysis, and hospitals in Passaic, Essex, Bergen, and Hudson counties.
Who qualifies for medical transportation? Those who are:
Confined to a bed or in a wheelchair.
In moderate to severe pain.
A danger to self or others.
Require IV meds/fluids.
Require special handling.
Dependent on third-party oxygen assistance.
Unable to sit in a chair for duration of transport.
Have dementia, Alzheimer's, altered LOC.
Plans and aspirations for the future
As CAMT’s brand continues to grow, so does our ambition. CAMT’s vision is always developing and is influenced by some of the greatest minds of the 21st century.
To continue providing the best care possible, we will continue to keep our pledge to utilizing only the most up-to-date transport, communications, and company procedures. Our hiring process and brand presence will only continue to become more robust as we strive to give opportunities to talented people in many diverse fields, as well as training our team to always be better at what they do.
We support the idea of competition and believe that as we continue to set precedents in the medical field, other companies will continuously improve and create a new age of medical transport for the modern world.
