Wednesday Weird - Hidden between newly built condominiums at Rockett's Landing, and the banks of the James River lie the remains of Yuengling Brewery. The site is reduced to crumbling walls and ivy covered brick behind a chain link fence keeping the curious from entering the beer cellar dug into the bluff. Tuesday To Do - If you haven't gotten your Real ID from DMV, you've only got 5 months. Beginning May 7, 2025, the federal government will require you to present a REAL ID compliant driver's license or ID card, or another federally approved form of ID, in order to board a domestic flight or enter a secure federal facility or military base. They are easy to get. Just schedule an appointment with your local DMV and bring the documents you'll need to apply!

Monday Mechanic - Most of us have battery operated tools. The most expensive part of the tool is the battery. These tips will help you extend the life of that battery long after most others have given up. Batteries have a life expectancy and deteriorate when not in use. When a battery isn’t used immediately after charging, it will slowly lose its charge. When batteries are stored outside the charger, they will naturally begin to discharge, losing the bulk of their capacity in the first three days. Use you batteries soon after charging and you'll see an extended life!

Thursday Thanks - We always say that we are thankful for our family, but what goes with that are the times we spend together. When our kids were small we started building and decorating gingerbread houses for Christmas and the tradition continues to this day. With one at 23 another in college and the youngest in high school, they still look forward to it. Today is Gingerbread House Day and we highly recommend it for you and your family!

Tuesday Teammates - Where do we go when we need materials for building custom cabinetry for our Executive Motorcoach? Siewers Lumber of course. They are friends and neighbors and have just about anything you need when it comes to architecture. For a wide variety of products and knowledgeable staff, you can't go wrong!

Monday Mechanic - Most of us have battery operated tools. The most expensive part of the tool is the battery. These tips will help you extend the life of that battery long after most others have given up. When using or storing batteries, try to avoid high temperatures. Direct sunlight or inside a hot trunk can quickly degrade a battery. Instead store batteries in a cool space since the optimal temperature is around 59 F.

Wednesday Weird - In 1976 Hollywood crafted a 110foot long 18 foot high super bus dubbed to the "Cyclops" for it's 1976 release. The movie The Big Bus was a box office flop, but now a cult classic. There was no CGI back then, so the bus was real and you can see it in the movie's trailer on YouTube at https://youtu.be/hj8agXYwC2o ....CRAZY!

Tuesday Teammates - Even buses need glass replaced from time to time. We are lucky enough to have Auto Glass Now near our facility and staffed with folks that know how to replace even our large glass. They do everything small to large and will come to you. If you're in the need of new glass for your vehicle, give them a call!

These tips will help you extend the life of that battery long after most others have given up. Make sure to use the Right Battery and Charging System so use the charger that came with your tool. Since each manufacturer has unique circuity designs, aftermarket or counterfeit chargers may damage the batteries or compromise the integrity of the battery. Use ONLY what is recommended by the manufacturer.
