Is this tag line too ominous?
Like cities? I recently resuscitated my blog on obsession: making transportation spectacular…
in more words: designing transportation & cities to prioritize people in public space over private property (particularly cars)
Soak up tantalizing topics like the tacky approach of the “design drive-by”;
swoons for (and critiques of) public transportation;
stranded pedestrian sass;
relentless advocacy for wonderful infrastructure..
so everyone feel & BE safe and comfortable riding a bicycle, a bus, a scooter, and walking in cities;
free public transportation!;
dreamy public spaces;
making it easier for everyone to live a glorious life without needing to invest in expensive, forever depreciating and dangerous cars;
radically re-imagining and repurposing the way we see, experience, and build cities to be welcoming and DELIGHTFUL for every single person from the tiniest kids to the oldest adults!

The dolphins have returned to Virginia! 😹
I saw an unusual movement out of the corner of my eye on my fresh air and flower-seeking walk yesterday and was very surprised to see six deer sauntering down the middle of this street in Northern Virginia. I didn't get video of them until they were in a yard bc I was trying not to move too quickly and startle them.

Sure sounds much more peaceful without car traffic!

"Change is coming whether you like it or not"
When I took this photo last October, I had nooooooooooo idea how profoundly different our society would be less than half a year later.
Though so much of the world is suffering and the only certainty is uncertainty, I am continuously and deeply inspired by the ways that people everywhere have acted in solidarity, stayed home for the good and well-being of all, and shared ideas, music, and joy, even from a distance.
Much love to you and your communities and thank you especially to the healthcare and grocery store workers that are keeping us alive.
If you have the means, please support the very small businesses that support you as well as restaurants, musicians, and other artists that help make life wonderful.

"Nurture nature + nature nurtures" ... Beautiful reminder from the Dalston Eastern Curve Garden in East London, a gorgeous little sanctuary in East London where I delightfully enjoyed many hours last autumn.

Hiiii. Did you know we have a blog?

We just went live with it yesterday!

Update: You liked this page awhile when it started out as the Lolly Pop Tour Shop but has transitioned into the Sustainababes which currently has this tagline I don't LOVE but I'm into the idea anyway: "pleasantly making the world a more pleasant and sustainable place... one babe at a time."

How's that sound? I understand if you gotta go but I'd love it if you'd stay! If you're into what we're talking about... maybe share it with a friend. Most recent post is "Everyone Deserves Access to Fabulous Transportation." Thrilling, right?? There's also 14 other riveting posts that you can dive into at your leisure or during your commute...

https://sustainababes.com/

Check it out sometime AND you can subscribe to our thrilling monthly newsletter, sauntering into your hearts and mailboxes every last Saturday.

Love you!!! -- Lolly!

Playfully making the world a more sustainable and pleasant place... one babe at a time! Join us to explore health, creative living, actions, and more...

Hey-o! It's me Lolly! It's been a longggggg time, I know! How are ya? Quick update! I'm no longer offering history tours for 11 reasons I'll tell you some other time but I wanted to tell you about my new project called SUSTAINABABES which is going live this morning at 11:11!

Some of you may already know because you're on the list but if you're not and want to be, lemme know! Or you can sign up here: https://sustainababes.com

I want to spend my time working on making the current and future world a better place and the people in it happier and healthier. That's been one of my biggest motivations in life and that simply wasn't possible when I was focusing on the past every day with history. So! Will you stay or will you go?

I'm going to transition this page into the Sustainababes page over the next week so you may see posts from that name where it previously said Lolly Pop Tour Shop. If that's not okay, get in touch or simply unlike. But I like you and I hope you stick around so we can make this planet and our lives dreamier and yah, um, more Sustainable. One babe at a time.

(I'm not sure if that makes me groan or giggle)!
