In 1984 McCain established an exploratory committee to determine viability for a Senate run. I was selected a Texas co-state chairman for his committee and based in Houston. They gave us a Mooney airplane to fly around the state meeting with local political groups, attending a lot of dead chicken dinners, and sensing the pulse for what later started his Senate career. A fine, honorable true hero. It was my honor to have been selected and to do whatever I could do to assist him. This meme is exactly right. No president in history would have anything to do with the current hopeful or his unrecognizable Republican Party.

While there’s some disagreement on what the very first gas station was, the first drive-up service station is usually cited as the Gulf Refining Company pump that opened in downtown Pittsburgh in 1913.Although its inventor, Sylvanus Freelove Bowser, didn’t anticipate it at the time, the pump originally designed for kerosene ended up being extraordinarily useful for filling cars with gasoline. In 1905, Bowser added a long hose to one of his pumps so motorists could fill up curbside.

Well, since 3 of my 5 wives (Mexico, Scotland and Maru from Venezuela) have been immigrants - and I'm so happy they were (much more of a sense of humor and a LOT more fun!)..I guess I agree. I'm just a romantic kinda guy I guess...
