During a trip to Baltimore today my passengers requested a side trip to Di Pasquale ‘s Italian Market, aka Heaven if you like fresh authentic Italian cuisine:). While there I met Mike Pastore whose family started the original Pastore’s Deli franchise MANY years ago in the CITY. Remember Pastore’s Deli in Pasadena, Maryland? What a nice man! My destination tonight is the WASHINGTON HILTON HOTEL, 17th street in DC. Forty five years ago, around the corner from here, at the ballroom entrance to the Hilton, John Hinckley shot President Ronald Reagan as he exited after a speech to labor union leaders. On the brighter side, I’m perfectly positioned to enjoy some authentic Indian cuisine at Bombay Street Food 3 Express! It smells delicious and I’ve got three hours to wait. I’m not going to make it. Indian it is!
