Pahrump Valley Public Transportation is currently hiring for a part-time driver position. Requirements are as follows:
Clean NV driver license with a 10 yr DMV printout.
Drug free including Ma*****na and THC . Clean national criminal and s*x offender background check. All required training is provided and paid by PVPT. Pre-employment drug testing will be performed. It is with much sadness that PVPT announces the passing of one of our own, our dispatcher Janet " Marci" Becker passed away this morning after suffering a heart attack. Our thoughts and prayers to all of her friends and family.

PVPT is currently unable to access some roads as of this morning. We apologize for any delays or cancellations this may create for our riders. Our drivers are out on the roads and office staff is able to view road conditions through our vehicle cameras to ensure safe driving conditions..Road crews are doing an amazing job getting clean up done so please be patient..thank you.

Just wanted to clarify a couple things for those of you who utilize PVPT services. Effective July 1st, 2020 PVPT no longer receives state funding from ADSD (Nevada Aging and Disability Services Division) therefore we are no longer obligated to abide by their guidelines regarding senior ridership. PVPT is now a "fare" based public transportation system serving all members of the community and no longer provides rides on a "donation" basis. Seniors who wish to utilize the ADSD donation based rides can contact the Pahrump Senior Center at 775-727-5008. Furthermore, after reading a review of our services on Google, someone stated that (since we are no longer federally funded) we cannot test for cannabis for employment purposes. Just to be clear on this, we ARE federally funded through the FTA / NDOT and will continue to perform pre-employment and random drug testing as mandated by the FTA. This is a 5 panel drug screening that includes ma*****na. We'd like to express our gratitude to all that utilize our services. Our primary goal is to provide access to safe, reliable and affordable transportation to all residents of Pahrump.
