Here are some tips to help you travel safely by Taxi Cab in Oakland and surrounding areas From Bay Porter Cab Co
1. Open the door using a tissue or sleeve (or wear disposal gloves during your taxi ride)

2. When entering or exiting a taxi try not to directly touch any surface if at all possible.

3. Sit in the back seat.

4. If you are traveling alone, sit directly behind the taxi driver. If traveling with 1 other passenger, make sure you're both sitting in the back and both sitting at the windows to try to create as much of a distance as possible.

5. Ask permission to slightly open the cab window.

6. Just ask your taxi driver can you open your window; this will create a draft that will air out the taxi.

7. Cover your mouth while coughing/sneezing
(Cough into your elbow where possible and also carry Kleenex tissues for sneezing.)

If you do use Kleenex tissue while in active taxi ride please do dispose of them at a safe place.

We recommend our passengers to wear a mask during their taxi ride, from beginning to the end of the taxi ride. For your safety and our safety.
