The Oakhurst Area had heavy snowfall throughout the night which has continued into this morning. Snow is expected throughout the day. Please plan according and expect delays on the roadways.

Ensure you carry chains in your vehicle and know how to properly install them. Have supplies in your car in event your vehicle becomes disabled. Utilize main routes of travel, there are not enough resources to ensure every roadway in the area is plowed.

Additionally, if behind a plow truck please ensure you remain at least 300 feet behind like other emergency vehicles. Keep your headlights turned to the ON position and slow your speed.
