It has been a year since the pandemic hit us and changed our lives. Salanger Trucking, LLC is an essential employer, and our drivers/employees have never stopped working during the pandemic. If anything, they have worked more and harder with the increase of mail volume and employment shortages. One of our senior drivers Eda, who is an incredibly happy and high spirted person, decided that she was going to try and lift the spirts of the employees at the USPS and the local community. She placed a bear in the passenger seat of her truck. She thought maybe whoever passes her truck on the road it would bring a smile to their face. Well, she has done this just that, Sally the bear has put a lot of smiles on the employees faces and drivers on the road. Eda changes Sally’s mask and gives her accessories. Eda said her bear is “Very friendly, good listener, won’t talk back, very quiet and keeps good company. The only down fall is she is a better supervisor then helper. She won’t get out of the truck and help unload or load”. We received a couple phone calls from people that have passed Eda and said seeing the Sally in the passenger seat put a big smile on their face and it was great to see something like that. Well, it has not stopped there, some of the employees at the USPS have let Sally borrow a face mask and a bag for a photo shoot. Sally is part of our team. Eda and Sally have really helped raise people’s spirits and help them bear through the pandemic. We at Salanger Trucking, LLC encourage our employees to not only lift each other’s spirts but the communities’ spirits daily. Thank you Eda, and keep bearing through!
