High Point Acres was recognized as a Maryland Dairy of Distinction.

High Point Acres LLC is owned and operated by the Beard family, Donald, Linda, Casey, Andrew, and Maggie. High Point Acres is located in Boonsboro, Md., where the family farms 700 acres and milks 180 to 200 Holsteins. Herd highlights include a rolling herd average of 23,944 with Somatic Cell Count averaging 87,000. They manage a closed-herd breeding program utilizing top quality sires on their numerous registered Holsteins.

High Point Acres has previously been recognized for the Washington County Sustainable Conservation Award in 2015, as well as participating in the USDA Appreciation of the Land Stewardship program. Their farm management philosophy, as with everything in life, is nothing ever stays the same. They stay, “prepared to adjust and do their best with whatever happens. Happy cows make milk, and most of all, always have faith.”

🙏 Shout out to our driver, Doug, for always going above and beyond to help us dairy farmers out, however he can!

This weekend he planned ahead and changed our pick-ups which meant we didn’t have to fight keeping the driveway clear for him on top of everything else in the peak of the winter storm! 👏
