Today, we pause to remember the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.

Their courage and selflessness will always be remembered and honored. Turn Services proudly joins in paying tribute to the brave service members whose legacy continues to inspire generations.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day as we remember those who gave all for our freedom.

This National Maritime Day, we recognize the crews, captains, deckhands, dispatchers, mechanics, and maritime professionals who keep the river moving day in and day out.

At Turn Services, the waterways are more than where we work — they’re a way of life. The dedication of our team members across our fleets and operations helps power commerce throughout the Lower Mississippi River and Gulf Intracoastal Waterway every single day.

We’re proud to be part of an industry built on hard work, teamwork, and generations of maritime tradition.

Thank you to everyone working on and along the water today.

At Turn Services, training goes beyond checking a box — it’s about making sure our teams are prepared to respond when it matters most.

Recently, members of the Turn Services team took part in patient packaging training, a critical component of response and rescue operations, in the capable hands of Safety and Training Specialist Shawn Lingawi. This type of hands-on training focuses on safely securing, moving, and transporting a patient, especially in challenging or time-sensitive situations.

One of the biggest takeaways from this kind of training is the importance of teamwork and communication. Every person involved has a role to play, and success depends on working together effectively while keeping patient safety at the center of every decision.

Training like this helps build confidence, trust, and preparedness for real-world situations while continuing to strengthen the safety culture across our operations.

Great work by everyone involved.

Over the last two weeks, Turn Services brought together crews from across our operations for two successful Louisiana Deckhand Meeting sessions focused on communication, safety, leadership, and professional growth.

These meetings continue to be an important opportunity for our deckhands, captains, leadership teams, and support departments to come together outside of day-to-day operations and stay aligned on the goals, standards, and future of Turn Services. From vessel operations and compliance updates to safety discussions, legal and risk management, personnel updates, and hands-on leadership development, each session was built around giving our crews the tools and information they need to succeed both on and off the boat.

A special thank you goes to Nunez Community College for hosting us, to Accelerated Leadership and Ross Trahan for leading the personal development training sessions, and to The Coffeehouse for keeping everyone fueled throughout the day.

We appreciate everyone who took part in these sessions and look forward to wrapping up our final Louisiana Deckhand Meeting next week before continuing into our upcoming Captain’s Meetings.
