Professional trucking begins with a professional inspection.

At JRD Transportation, every pre-trip inspection should be done carefully and consistently. Drivers should check the engine compartment, fluid levels, belts, hoses, lights, tires, brakes, mirrors, windshield, trailer connection, and all visible damage.

Opening the hood and taking time to inspect the truck can prevent costly problems later. A proper pre-trip helps drivers stay safe, avoid delays, and deliver freight with confidence.

Save May 12–14 and take time to get your truck ready before Roadcheck begins. A proper inspection starts with preparation, and every detail counts when you are on the road. JRD Transportation encourages drivers to check their equipment early and stay prepared.

The CVSA International Roadcheck will take place May 12–14, bringing 72 hours of intensified inspections for commercial vehicles and drivers across North America.

During the event, inspectors will review driver qualifications, medical documents, hours-of-service records, seat belt use, and ELD data, along with critical vehicle components such as brakes, tires, lights, suspension, steering, and cargo securement. This year’s driver emphasis is on ELD tampering, falsification, and manipulation.

JRD Transportation encourages drivers and fleet teams to use this time to review paperwork, inspect equipment, and stay ready for the road ahead.
