To Our Valued Clients and Friends,
Each year, we like to share an update on GFI Transport and offer a bit of encouragement along the way. First and foremost, thank you for the role you play in our company's success.
If you are receiving this letter, you are connected to GFI Transport in some meaningful way, and we are deeply grateful for your partnership and friendship. Many of you have entrusted our team to serve as an extension of your company, and we never take that responsibility lightly. We understand that you have a choice in who you do business with, and we are honored to earn your trust every day.
At GFI Transport, we strive to live out our core values of Integrity, Service, and Diligence while remaining focused on our vision and mission.
Our Vision
We are driven to create a culture of excellenceâempowering our team to be an extension of our valued partners and their companies.
Our Mission
To create an environment where our teammates and customers alike can thrive and be the heroes in their stories.
As we have worked toward that vision and mission, I won't sugarcoat the challenges of 2026. This year has brought significant uncertainty across the transportation industry. Like many of you, we've felt the impact firsthand.
I've always believed in focusing on what we can control rather than becoming consumed by the things we cannot. Yet even that mindset was tested as diesel prices increased by nearly $2.00 per gallon in less than 30 days. No one could have predicted that kind of volatility, and there was certainly nothing any of us could do to prevent it.
Those rapid changes led to some difficult conversations with many of you. While fuel surcharges help address rising costs, the reality is that every business and every family represented in this letter has felt the effects. I found myself paying closer attention to the headlines than usualâwaiting to see what challenge might come next. If you know me, you know that's not typically how I operate.
So why am I sharing this?
Because I suspect I'm not alone. Perhaps some of you can relate. The truth is, I realized that I had allowed things outside my control to distract me from the things within my control.
Life and business have a way of throwing curveballs when we least expect them. In those moments, we all have a choice in how we respond. As leadersâin our homes, businesses, and communitiesâpeople are watching. Often, there's an expectation that we have all the answers. While I certainly don't have everything figured out, I do know this: I can control my attitude, my actions, how I treat others, and how I lead my family and our company.
My encouragement to you is simple: focus on what you can control. Continue to show up, serve others well, and lead with integrity. The challenges may not disappear, but we can choose how we respond to them.
Thank you for your continued support, partnership, and trust during these uncertain times. We are grateful for the opportunity support your business and a partner in your success.
