We are looking for great people to join the Hwy V Trucking family!

Family owned and operated since 2018, we believe when our drivers win, we win. When we grow, they grow. That's not just something we say, that's how we run. The road is hard enough. You shouldn't have to fight your own company too. At Hwy V, we're in your corner... on the good days and the hard ones. A driver who trusts their company drives better, stays longer, and goes further. So we work hard every day to be worth that trust.

Here's what we've got available:

We offer different lanes that drivers have the flexibility to choose from. Our contracts include OTR dry van of medical equipment (paid per mile), OTR hopper bottom (paid percentage), and regional flower 🌸 (seasonal, re**er, East/SE region, paid percentage).

Weekly pay, direct deposit. W-2 position. Immediate opening, and future openings.

Well-maintained trucks to keep you rolling because a breakdown is expensive for everyone, and we take that seriously.

We are a small fleet that is growing, but growing to another small number. We don't have plans to be the biggest, nor do we want to. Being smaller is important to us.

🚛 NOW HIRING — CDL-A Driver | W2 | Huntersville, NC and surrounding Area

Hwy V Trucking, LLC is looking for one motivated CDL-A driver to join our small fleet on a dedicated regional account — starting immediately.

📦 FLOWER SEASON (Now through June | Aug–Sept | Dec)

Dedicated regional delivery. You will run hard, stay busy, and earn top dollar. This is percentage-based pay — the more the truck earns, the more you earn. Drivers on this account are making strong weekly checks right now.

Routes run throughout the Southeast and mid-Atlantic. Must be comfortable with mountain driving and physical unloading work at each stop (lift gate, flower carts). Ag-exempt account — maximum drive time flexibility during peak season.

🚚 OFF SEASON

When flower season wraps, you transition to OTR dry van work. We have established carrier relationships and work hard to keep you loaded and your checks consistent. Like any trucking operation, freight can vary week to week — but we are upfront with our drivers and we do not leave you sitting when we can help it.

This is not a fit for everyone. We want someone who runs hard, prioritizes safety, communicates, follows direction, and takes pride in their work. If that is you, we want to hear from you.

Minimum Requirements:

✔️ Clean MVR

✔️ 2 years CDL experience

✔️ At least 25 years old

✔️ No SAP

✔️ Full compliance with DOT regulations and HOS

We just wrapped up an incredible few days at the Bulk Freight Conference, and we’re heading home grateful, encouraged, and inspired.

What stood out most wasn’t just the information (which was great), but the people. The sense of community here is real—carriers supporting carriers, honest conversations, and a shared desire to grow the right way. You’re not treated like “just another trucking company,” but as someone whose story and business actually matters.

The speakers brought practical insight that applies whether you’re a one-truck operation or running a fleet, and the environment made it easy to connect, learn, and reflect. We also loved how family-friendly and welcoming the conference was—family is a big part of our why, and that value was clearly shared here.

Huge thank you to Bulk Loads for hosting such a well-done event. We met some great people and have a great vision for 2026.

If you’re in trucking—especially bulk freight— we’d absolutely recommend it. Even if you just need some fuel in your tank (heart, mind, body and soul) because you've been running E, you will be filled coming here!

🚛✨ Truckin’ Through a Bob Ross Painting… with Oxtails on the Side

Some days on the road feel chaotic… and then there are days when you look out the windshield and swear you just drove straight into a Bob Ross landscape.
Snow-dusted mountains, soft gray skies, “happy little hills” everywhere — Salt Lake City really showed out.

And because trucking is all about balance… after soaking in all that peaceful scenery, Vincent did what any sensible driver would do:

👉 Pulled over and got him a bowl of oxtails that tasted like somebody’s grandma threw her whole soul in the pot.
10/10 he reports.

Then—because the road always has to humble you—coming back through Wyoming, he witnessed some very questionable driving skills. Let’s just say Bob Ross wouldn’t have painted that scene.
Snow + ice + overconfidence = a whole lot of “not today, sir.”

From mountain passes to midnight "hey, you can't park there" spin outs to comfort food that hits the spot — this is the trucking life. Wild, exhausting, beautiful, unpredictable.

Stay safe out there, drivers. And if you ever find yourself in Salt Lake City… do yourself a favor and get the oxtails from Les BBQ Sandwichs LLC . 😉
