Today, as part of EMS Week, we’re shining a spotlight on the incredible work being done to support the unique needs of children in emergency situations. At Butler Medical Transport, we're proud to partner with Children's National Hospital to enhance and improve pediatric care in pre-hospital and acute care settings.
Children aren't just small adults—they have distinctive physiological and psychological needs that require specialized attention and care. This day serves as a vital reminder of the importance of tailoring emergency medical services to meet these needs effectively.
To further our commitment, we're considering hosting a pediatric care educational event for our clinicians. Additionally, we’re exploring opportunities for community programs focusing on first aid, emergency preparedness, car seat safety, and bicycle safety. Our goal is to equip both our team and the community with the knowledge and skills to better protect and care for our youngest patients.
