The Clinton Trolley operates between Hammonasset State Park and Beach, downtown Clinton, the Clinton town docks and the east end from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, Friday through Saturday and holidays.

Great news for RVT riders: funding for the microtransit pilots was included in the FY27 state budget, which means XtraMile services in East Hampton, Guilford/Madison, and Middletown will continue operating through at least June 30, 2027.

This extension reflects a strong regional effort led by Christine Cohen, with support from First Selectman Matt Hoey and Madison First Selectmen Peggy Lyons leadership, along with the many riders and community members who shared their experiences and support. More than 300 public submissions were filed in support of extending the pilot program — a powerful demonstration of how important these services have become for local mobility and access.

The continued funding ensures that residents in the participating communities will keep access to flexible, on-demand transportation options that connect people to work, medical appointments, shopping, and everyday destinations.
