I-40 SHUTDOWN, heads up to those with travel plans for the holidays! 🚨

This is an image of Interstate 40, another large chunk of roadway has washed out and broke off into Pigeon River Gorge.

This is very close to the North Carolina/Tennessee border.

Unfortunately this will push back the reopening of the interstate.

Holiday travelers should expect delays, perhaps significant added time in this area.

Be safe out there in those construction zones! Slow down and don't be distracted.

Construction on I-70 will continue into the winter months through snow or sunshine! This means your travel could include traffic stops, lane closures or hazardous road conditions. Get to your destination safely and on time by staying informed on current road conditions at COtrip.org.

Good news if you're a leased o/o for Landstar. I think it's pretty nice of the company to offer something like this to their drivers. Maybe other companies will follow suit and provide drivers options other than a truck stop.

The Crawfordsville site offers secure parking, Wi-Fi, laundry, showers and a business center, the company said.
