Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Freight Broker Agent to join our growing team. As an agent, you will play a critical role in connecting shippers with reliable carriers, negotiating rates, and ensuring seamless freight movement. This is a commission-based role with high earning potential for driven individuals.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers and carriers.
Source and negotiate freight rates to secure profitable loads.
Utilize load boards (e.g., DAT, Truckstop) to identify and book freight opportunities.
Coordinate shipments from pickup to delivery, ensuring on-time performance.
Action Transportation, Inc has their own proprietary TMS system.
Provide exceptional customer service to clients and carriers.
Stay updated on market trends and industry regulations (e.g., FMCSA compliance).

Qualifications

Minimum 1–2 years of freight brokerage or logistics experience (preferred).
Proven track record of booking loads and building client relationships.
Familiarity with load boards DAT and Truckstop.
Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Certified Transportation Broker (CTB) certification or FMCSA license is a plus.
Access to reliable internet and a home office setup (for remote roles).
