New York City isn’t just coming back – we are back. We have recovered all the private-sector jobs lost during the pandemic and added 300,000 new jobs since the start of the Adams administration. The best part: Yellow taxis are seeing more green, as well.💸

In March, our overall yellow taxi trips are up 3.7% compared to the previous year, and in January, we had over 9,000 taxis in service – 1,000 more than at the same time last year and the first time this many have been operating since before the pandemic.

Yellow daily revenue in the month of December 2023 was $2.7 million, which is 30% higher than the year before following the TLC’s first fare increase in a decade. Here at TLC, we are protecting driver earnings to grow our economy and support working-class New Yorkers.

Licensees: This week The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey launched the Virtual Taxi Dispatch program at John F. Kennedy International Airport - JFK with an app available for download. On-site tech support is available in the hold lot daily over the next week (4/18 - 4/24) from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
