⚜️ Crisis is not the only reason for your drivers to quit your company.

There are bunch of other factors as well.

To be more accurate there are 3 main reasons why drivers leave their job and look for another opportunity.

1️⃣ Pay - Be careful with what your recruiters promise to a driver when getting him hired. Most of the time drivers are unsatisfied because they were promised one thing and delivered another. If earnings of drivers in your company really dropped try to explain it to them and tell that you are already working on it.

2️⃣ Equipment - Drivers want to work. But, if they are not able to do it because of your trucks breaking down every other day then they will leave. Take care of your trucks and make sure they are in a good condition before providing them to drivers.

3️⃣ Micromanagement - Don’t try to over-control the driver. There is no need to call him every 5 minutes and ask him if he is rolling or not. That’s just unnecessary. If you do that your drivers will get tired of the headache and try to look for something else.

By the way, if you don’t have the issues above and looking to expand your fleet by hiring more drivers leave a comment saying «Hire more» and we will contact you to help you out.

HOW TRUCK DRIVERS CAN AVOID WEIGHT GAIN

There are great truck drivers. There are thin ones. What can truck drivers do to prevent weight loss?

Well, the truck lifestyle is not easy. You may be away from home for days or weeks at a time. You may only find fast food restaurants and vending machines filled with sodas and sugary snacks. In other words, you can take some steps to reduce weight ...

1. Work it Off On the Clock:
Have you done driver assisted loading? If so, this is a great way to exercise on the watch. Pull the platform to where you need to fix the load, and then get on and off the trailer. When at the rest station, take a walk or jog around the parking lot to make your legs move and your heart beat faster.

2. Condiments and Snacks Add Up:
As for what you eat, use the least amount of seasoning possible. For example, don't use three packages of ketchup on hamburgers and fries, but only one package per meal. If you want a salad, use half the seasoning they gave you. Eat blueberries instead of M & Ms. Have carrot or celery sticks for a snack. Try to give up Red Bull or other energy drinks. For every can of soda you drink, be sure to drink the same amount of water. If possible, cut down on drinks like Coca-Cola and Pepsi.

3. Weight Loss Programs:
Many truck drivers have joined Weight Watchers, which helps them track their daily food/drink intake. In the end, as long as they pay attention to how much they consume each day, they can lose some weight!

3 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT BEING A NEW TRUCK DRIVER IN YOUR FIRST YEAR

1. GETTING DRIVING EXPERIENCE
When it comes to earning the greatest truck driving job, experience is crucial. The more driving experience you have, the better driver you will become. You will earn more money if you have more experience. You'll appreciate your driving work more as a result of your experience, which will help you relax and relieve stress.

2. GETTING SEAT TIME
Keep in mind that the most important goal of your first year as a rookie truck driver is to get as much seat time as possible. Seat time will be difficult, especially for individuals who have been recruited on to a large carrier for a company-sponsored CDL training program. Surviving such a program can be difficult in and of itself.

3. PAID CDL TRAINING PROGRAM WAGES CAN BE LOUSY
To add insult to injury, the time you spend on the road with your driver training is unlikely to be adequately compensated. Pay for new truck driver training can be low. As a result, be prepared to face a financial impact. The majority of carriers pay low wages during the training period.

1. Manual or automatic transmissions
You may have heard that manual transmissions are now a fairy tale, and that learning automatic transmissions is good enough.
But the truth is that even today, some trucks still have manual transmissions. Also, if you learn only automatic transmissions, you will have limited employment opportunities. This is why it is essential to choose a truck driving school that offers both manual and automatic transmission education.

2. Trainer and student ratio
When it comes to the ratio of instructors to students in training schools, the lower the ratio, the better.
Schools require at least a trainer for every 4 students. So you can focus your instructor's attention.
Students with only one instructor are so frustrated that they can't get the attention and time they need from their trainer.

3. Trainer qualifications
Instructor qualifications play an important role in educational programs.
Choose a former truck driver with many years of driving experience, not a new CDL driver. Beware of schools with trainers without CDL!
