October is Filipino American History Month! Join us in celebrating our Filipino brothers and sisters with many events across LA County in October. Grab a drink and a dance at Benny Boy Brewing during their Manila Sound Daytime Disco event, take in the wonder of Filipino inspired art at the Filipino Inspiration through Watercolors Exhibit, or catch a film at the FilAm Creative Film Festival. And don’t forget to purchase your Filipino American History Month TAP card while supplies last. Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates the rich culture and legacy of Hispanic and Latino Americans. Hispanic Heritage Month uniquely starts on September 15 to honor the independence day of several South American countries, including Mexico, Costa Rica, and El Salvador. Hispanic Americans have played an integral and irreplaceable part in shaping our country since its inception, and they continue to enrich our nation with innovation, creativity, activism, and more.

To celebrate our Hispanic brothers and sisters, TAP is releasing our 2026 Hispanic Heritage Month commemorative TAP card on September 11.

Get yours today at a Metro Customer Service Center or select TVMs, while supplies last. Cards are $2 plus the cost of fare. Be sure to check the header at the top of the TVM to ensure card availability.
