I’m honored to be nominated for 2027 Volunteer of the Year. Seeing my name attached to this recognition makes me emotional, because I see so many faces behind it.
I see the frightened dog learning to trust our hands. The senior finding a soft place to land. The family facing heartbreak who needs someone to say, “We’ll help.” And the joy when a dog finally goes home with their person.
When we started this journey, I knew we would help dogs. I couldn’t have imagined how deeply they would change us—or how many wonderful people would become part of our Ranch family.
Every volunteer, foster, adopter, donor, supporter, and member of our team has helped make these second chances possible. Your kindness is woven into every happy ending.
This nomination is a chance to recognize that love and bring more attention to the work we do at Doggie Dude Ranch and Doggie Rescue Ranch.
