R. Cochran Transport is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Class A CDL driver to join our team. If you have a passion for driving, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety, we would love to hear from you. This job would be mainly over the road with a couple of nights out per week.
Job Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a high level of professionalism on the road
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safety and report any maintenance issues
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and secure it properly to prevent damage during transit
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a CDL driver.
-Minimum age of 23 years old
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting and carrying heavy loads
-Dump trailer experience a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
