Always glad to help with this training! Thanks for having us!

Last week, we wrapped up another successful May 2026 Adjuster Training Class at our home office! This outstanding group of adjusters gained valuable insight from our experienced instructors and participated in hands-on field experience with a UPS truck, helping bring real-world claim scenarios into the training environment.
A special thank you to Brown Trucking Company for once again providing a tractor-trailer for our hands-on truck demonstration. Your partnership continues to add an invaluable real-world element to our training program!

Today, we commemorate Memorial Day in honor of our fallen heroes.

We encourage everyone to take a moment today to express gratitude for the departed service members who made the ultimate sacrifice. May your Memorial Day observance be meaningful and reflective.

As Military Appreciation Month concludes, we also want to acknowledge the numerous members of the Brown family who have dedicated their lives to the armed forces. While today is a solemn remembrance of those we have lost, this month also reminds us to celebrate the entire military community—encompassing vital observances like Military Spouse Appreciation Day and Armed Forces Day.

Thank you to all who serve and have served. 🕊️

🚛 ROADCHECK 2026 starts NOW!

Don’t get caught unprepared. For the next 72 hours, law enforcement across North America will be conducting high-volume, 37-step Level I inspections.

🛡️ This year's primary focus:
1️⃣ Cargo Securement: Verify your tie-downs, gates, and blocking.
2️⃣ ELD Compliance: Ensure your logs are current and your device is ready.

🚨 Plus: "Click It or Ticket" is in effect!
From May 11–31, there is a zero-tolerance policy for seat belts. Law enforcement is increasing patrols—including nighttime enforcement—around the Memorial Day holiday.

☀️ PRO-TIP for CVOs: Temperatures are climbing! High heat is the #1 enemy of your rubber. Do a thorough pre-trip inspection of your tires to prevent blowouts and keep your CSA score clean.

Check the "Cheat Sheet" for a refresher on Brakes, Coupling, and Steering. Let's show them that our fleet is the safest on the road! 🛡️🛣️

April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month! 🚫📱

Did you know that taking your eyes off the road for just 5 seconds at 55 mph is like driving the length of a football field blindfolded? 🏈🙈

At Brown, we hold our Professional CVOs to the highest standard. Distracted driving is NOT tolerated. Our drivers are the best in the business because they know that no notification is worth a life. 🚛✨

How can you drive like a Pro:
✅ Silence your notifications before you shift into gear.
✅ Use a "designated texter" (your passenger!).
✅ Put the phone in the glove box if you’re tempted to scroll.

From April 7–14, law enforcement will be out in full force for the "Put the Phone Away or Pay" campaign. Don’t risk the fine—and more importantly, don’t risk a life.

❄️ 10 PRO TIPS FOR WINTER TRUCKING 🚛
When the temperature hits the single digits, the road changes. Poor visibility and slick surfaces make every mile a challenge. At Brown Trucking, safety is our #1 priority.

Stay safe this season with these 10 essential pro tips:

1. Inspect Your Rig 🔍 Check tire pressure, oil, and antifreeze fastidiously before every haul.

2. Slow Down 🐢 Traction is lower in the cold. Lowering your speed gives you more time to react.

3. Increase Following Distance 📏 Stopping distances can be 10x longer on ice. Give yourself plenty of "buffer room."

4. Avoid Sudden Moves 🧊 No hard braking or sharp cornering. Keep every maneuver smooth.

5. Watch the Tire Spray 🚿 If the spray from surrounding tires stops, the road is likely freezing.

6. Clear Your Lights 💡 Ensure headlights and trailers are clear of snow so you stay visible.

7. Maneuver, Don't Slam 🛣️ At lower speeds, it’s often safer to steer around an obstacle than to slam on the brakes and skid.

8. Know When to Pull Over 🛑 If the weather is too severe, safety comes before the schedule. Find a safe spot and wait it out.

9. Pack an Emergency Kit 🎒 Always carry warm clothes, a shovel, sand/grit, and a flashlight.

10. Double-Check Intersections 🚦 In whiteout conditions, signs are hard to see. Look twice before proceeding.

The Bottom Line: Winter safety comes down to your judgment. Take your time, stay alert, and get home safe. 🤝
